JOROTO MD80 Elite Adjustable Weight Bench

After looking for a solid bench, primarily for barbell bench press, I decided to get this one. Many benches in this price range have a limit of 250 kg (body weight plus what you're lifting) but this one says it's rated to 1000 lbs or 450 kg and that's what sold it for me. Here's my review. I ordered this on Friday 14 Feb 2025, it was listed at £230 with a £60 voucher so I paid £170. With Amazon Prime free delivery it arrived on Monday 17 Feb 2025. The delivery slot was 7am-7pm using Amazon delivery so I had to wait in until it arrived. Many other delivery companies give you a one hour time slot but it seems Amazon don't do that yet. You can monitor the courier location on your app but it's tricky to know how long you will have to wait. It arrived in one, heavy, 25 kg box. There are only 3 parts to assemble using only 5 bolts. You also get a proper size 17 spanner and solid hex/allen key. Instructions are only 1 page long, so assembly SHOULD have been very simple. ISSUE: The first bolt you have to insert locks the back support in place and requires a bolt, washer and nut. However, the metal frame was spaced too far apart and there was no room to screw on the nut when the washer was in place (see photos). The solution was to screw on the nut without the washer, which compresses the frame, then remove the nut and add both the washer and nut. A bit of a pain but it doesn't affect the functionality or quality of the bench so I'm not knocking off any stars. Once assembled, the bench feels rock solid. The back support and seat are very quick and easy to adjust. It doesn't rock side to side when intentionally trying to rock it. I even jumped up and down on it without it moving. The handle at the front and wheels at the back allow the bench to be moved around easily. The bench does its job well for bench press. The width of the back rest feels wide enough to give adequate support and I feel safe when pushing heavy weights. I can certainly recommend this bench. For the price I paid, I think this is a real bargain. If any issues arise in future I'll update this review. Update 19 Feb 2025. I have knocked off a star and reduced the rating to 4 stars. The bench is very stable when the weight is at the back such as during bench press, so there’s no problem there. But when the weight it as the front of the bench such as sitting upright for shoulder press or arm curls, the bench can be unstable and you have to be more careful. This is because the front leg is very narrow so any significant weight at one side or the other causes the bench to tip. Since I’m aware of this I know to be careful. It’s not ideal but I still like using the bench and it’s rock solid for bench press when the weight is at the back over the very wide rear leg.

Great bench! This is the most valuable stuff I took for my personal gym. A good bench is probably the first thing you should buy if you need commercial gym experience. And this one is probably the best especially for this money. 100% happy with this purchase. - heavy and sturdy - easy to assemble - have adjustable seat (not only backrest)

Much thicker and wider than my old bench. Love the handle and the wheels. Put together really easy.

Quality bench for the home. You aint gonna get any better than this for the 170 i paid thats for sure(there was a 60 discount code when i purchased). Takes 5 minutes to put together and its sturdy, comfortable and looks nice and classsy too! Also the design is so good that it is a good size for a tall person and still it dont take up too much room. (Im 6ft1 and got plenty room) Dont go for something around a 100 and be stuck with a cheap piece of kit with huge metal legs that stick out too far and creaks and wobbles, pay a few quid extra and treat yourself to this quality bench

Great sturdy bench! I weigh 180lbs and have no problem using this bench for dumbell press. Just keep in mind this one does not have a way to do ab workouts.

This is a great bench! I did quite a bit of research on more moderately priced benches online for months and finally settled on this bench. At this moment I am only doing dumbbell workouts, but the bench meets all my needs.

I made the mistake of buying a lighter weight, folding bench last year for about 100 dhs cheaper than this one and immediately regretted my decision.
This model is sturdy and stable, capable of withstanding a serious payload.
The back rest adjustment is easy to operate and secure. It also provides a proper 90 degree angle for those who need it and a slightly more incline position for more comfortable shoulder pressing movements.
My only complaint is that the seat only features a single height adjustment option which isn't exactly ergonomic when used in full decline mode with heavier weights, but it is workable enough to maintain it's five start rating, most especially due to the price.
Buy once, cry once. If you lift heavy, don't require a packable/folding bench and want a solid unit, this bench is a good option at a great price.

Works great and very stable doing step ups, having different angles for incline, and cushion feels firm and supportive!

This bench is amazing! I was looking for something that would be sturdy enough for strength training and this is it. I'm able to perform all my exercises without a doubt. You can't tell The difference from a bench at a nice gym to this. Their customer service is also unmatched - I had a small hiccup with my order and they went above and beyond to take care of it.

A lot of bench; heavy, stable, comfortable and easy to adjust. A good price at the time of purchase and a needed upgrade to my home gym. One of the few of this design that converts to a decline position, although it would benefit from a Nordic hamstring type ankle brace. Presently using a cam lock cargo strap on the carry handle for stability.

Really happy with this bench. Sturdy and comfortable. Don't go for the cheap stuff, fork out an extra 100 and buy this.

Finally great to see a company focus on quality instead of cheap junk. I did a significant amount of researching before settling on this one. Very solid overall. High quality steel. Gym quality bench. Comfortable. 5 min assembly. So glad I purchased this one. Stitching looks great. I've seen others mention wobbling. I'm not seeing it. Im wondering if they installed the rear bracket correcrly since i noticed in one of the video reviews that they installed it upside down
the rubber groves should point down so that they grip the floor, not upwards. Another person mentioned a large gap. Yes there does appear to be a gap that increases as you lay the bench flat. I'm 5'7" and it doesn't feel noticeable. This is definitely well built. If that changes over time then I'll update this review.

Was looking for a new bench and ran across this one. At first was debating because of pricing but after talking with my trainer I ordered and wow. It was easy to setup and super steady and solid. Very good quality

This is the 3rd bench I have purchased for my home gym, and I am so pleased with the quality, stability, and simplicity.

This bench was only 3 components which blew me away, super easy to assemble and took my around 10 minutes.

The stability is incredible, and the structure is super solid.

The width of the pad is also bigger than most, which is perfect for bigger lifters really prioritizing shoulder stability during bench.

This bench is very sturdy and stable, it doesn't move at all when I lay back on it. It weighs 53 pounds, which is what you want to see in a bench, the heavier the better. It's very easy to assemble, just five bolts. I would definitely recommend buying this bench.

The workout bench is well made and sturdy. Assembly was simple and tools were included in the package.

I have been impressed with this weight bench. It is very "solid feeling" and stable. I'm 6"5" and always worry the the seat and back won't be long enough to provide support, but this is adequate. There are multiple positions which help vary your workout. It is heavy (because of solid construction), but the wheels make it east to move around. Use your own tools if you want a quicker assembly.

Feels sturdy and the cushioning is nice and firm. My only issue is that I don't personally like a gap between the seat part and back part of the bench.

I like the bench a lot! It has a very thick and firm padding, adjusts well, very stable. I built an adjustable and attachable ankle support so I could do sit-ups and have ankle support while using it. My added ankle support makes this the ultimate, perfect weight training tool! I gave 4 stars because it should include this type of attachable ankle support as an option.

The bench was definitely above my expectations. Very sturdy, very heavy, nice bench. I would definitely recommend this band to anyone.
