JOROTO MD55 Multi-Functional Adjustable Weight Bench

First of all, this is an excellent bench for a garage gym. It's easy to store, because you can fold it up and remove the various pieces that come with it to best suit your training goals for the day. For me, personally, I am mostly using this as a fold up bench. Once put up and ready, the bench is fairly strong. It's not as stable as a commercial bench that doesn't fold, but I've done bench press up to 220 lbs on it and it felt solid. You are able to adjust the angle of the benches incline and decline. Again, either direction feels firm and stable. The legs are grippy enough that the bench doesn't slide when in use. You have two pull-pins that you take out and fold it against the wall, pretty flat so that it takes up only a small amount of room. With the bench you get some attachments that I thought were actually pretty decent. I won't use them often, but having a preacher-curl attachment and a leg extension attachment allows me to do some isolation exercises that I don't get to do in my CrossFit box and so I actually appreciated them. They're not the reason I'd buy the bench, but I like that they come with it and are easy enough to attach/remove. The design of the bench is nice. The red and black suits most home gyms I've seen and the padding is firm, so you can bench from it without feeling like you are 'sinking' in and I believe too that the bench will be durable as a result.

Overall pleased with this, seems quite sturdy, and design decisions are reasonable (e.g. degrees of in/declination, proportions etc).It attempts to allow quite a few different exercises, but of course for this price you wouldn't expect it to be a truly ubiquitous machine - for example the leg presses can't be done very well because the lowest point of the press is not as low as needed, but this is still better than nothing and what is expected at this price.Bicep curl cushion bigger than other brands I saw, but still should be a bit bigger.I've tried to use it for back exercises (e.g. Roman chair) but didn't manage, I think the design should be adjusted to allow for this. Again, not really expected from this machine anyway, at this price, and no design can fulfill every possible exercise. Still, if that would be possible with minor design adjustments that'd be amazing and add a lot of value.I like the customization and adjustment options of the different heights/angles etc. Good choice to suit most bodies.Super easy to build.I haven't tried moving it around but certainly it's a big plus that it can fold to save space.I had a small issue with the machine (100% resolved now) but customer support has been absolutely fantastic.Overall, this is not a premium machine, but it offers excellent value for money and it is great for what you pay.

So far so good. Very well packaged. All sharp-ish edges are carefully wrapped with cardboard or foam material. Nothing arrived damaged. Assembly took roughly 30 min with manual. No additional tools were required. As for the bench itself. It’s my first home workout equipment ever and I expected it to be worse. However it’s good quality sturdy unit. I’m 5’8 210 lbs. I comfortably lay down on the bench and do hyperextension. Cushions are quite soft.

Overall a solid bench with a really strong, stable feel to it. It handles weight confidently and feels secure during pressing movements, which is exactly what you want from something like this. The adjustability is smooth and it folds, which is useful in theory.That said, it’s definitely quite big and takes up more space than expected, so it’s not the easiest to tuck away or move around regularly. The leg raise section is also a bit underwhelming — it does the job, but it doesn’t feel as sturdy or comfortable as the main bench setup.Still a good piece of kit overall, especially for the strength and stability, just not perfect in every area. A strong 4-star product.

It's great for the price. It was easy to put together. I can't see the fabric holding up for many years, as it seems thin. This is why I took off one star.

Well thought out design. Arrived mostly pre built. Easy to assemble. Comfortable padding. Wide reclining range. Preacher bench included as well as a leg extension piece. Definitely recommended.

The product is as described. I had fun putting it together, it's extremely straightforward and takes under 30min. Sturdy enough with no quality issues (from what I can tell) and comes with a warranty. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase for what it is! (I'm 5'5 with average build and I fit on it comfortably)My cat DOES try to use it as a scratch post though so i'd watch out for that

Over all it’s a good basic home weight bench but I have one design issue. The leg raise bar doesn’t allow plates of 10 lbs.See attached pictures. If I put the pin in to where the bar is at a higher angle then the plate fit but at that angle you don’t get the full range of motion.

I was very excited to add this bench to my home gym. It is advertised that it has a 772 lb load and I cannot confirm that but I do know that when using it to do hip thrusts the bench is not weighted down enough that it moves. It is not made for a very large person. The padding is decent the incline is on point the assembly was not so bad but there wasn't any direction on how to fold it up which was a very important selling point I was interested in. Another reason why I wanted this compact bench is to do leg extensions. It is not built to hold the weight plates and do leg extensions, your feet do not have room to be positioned properly compromising you to injury. If the leg extension worked they it is supposed to I would have given it 4 stars.UPDATE:The Joroto company reached out to me about my concerns on the above bench and my disappointment about the leg extension. I rated the bench a 3 star but would like to change my star rating to a 4 based on the customer service. The bench did not fit my needs however they sent me the MD35 weight bench. This bench has better padding the incline is on point, assembly was easy and folding it up is much easier than folding up the above bench. Although it does not have the capability for leg extensions it is a well made bench. Based on the MD35 weight bench and the customer service I am changing my Star rating to a 5.

Out of all benches, this one is the most useful.That's said I was unfortunate to get a bad apple, it wooden seat brokeoff. That's said, the customer service is great and they did tackle the problem quickly. Thank you

So far so good definitely helping me get more focused to work out instead of being on the floor but I can’t figure out how to fold it up. It’s probably just me but I can’t find anything else to help
